Sometimes all we have left is hope. Actually, hope has two sides – from a good or positive situation and from a bad or negative situation. In both cases, hope is something that drives us forward.
We do things with the hope of achieving something. For example, volunteering with the hope for a better world, going to school with the hope of graduating or having a good job with the hope of having a successful career. Hope is why we get up every day.
From the bad or negative situation, hope is one of the hardest options we can fall back on. Simple, just look at the economic situation in the country Suriname. We hope it will be okay soon. Or, when the world is faced with serious health problems (for example COVID-19), tensions between countries, domestic violence worldwide and poverty. We all hope that things will turn out well for the world. Our world! Why? It’s not far from our bed show – (indirectly) it affects us too.
To have hope is to choose to believe. No matter how easy or hard life gets – hope will always be there for us to lean on. Even if we don’t see or feel it. It’s there!
- I hope that my country will be fine (again).
- I hope it works out for you and me.
- I hope it works out for the world we all live in.
- I hope that we leave a solid foundation for our (children’s) children.
No matter how black, white or gray it is – I believe in hope. Look at that photo I took for this blog. Calmly, sailing in the direction of the sun – the light. It’ll be fine. DO YOU BELIEVE IN HOPE?
