REVIEW: Police woman has sex with colleagues (US)

Hot item now: “Police woman has sexual acts with male colleagues”! What will citizens now think about the behavior of those who are supposed to protect them? Most articles I’ve come across online have a title like this, or something similar. Although, the content mentions quite similarities. What strikes me very much is the way in which the “person of cause” is indicated. I still have questions about the content of the articles.

Local and international media organizations have reported this case. First of all, it is good to know that this case has been going on for some time, as everything published now is based on an internal investigation report issued in December 2022. But what exactly is the report about?

(Parts of…) New York Post writes:
“A small Tennessee police station has been rocked by allegations of wild sexual misconduct, after a married female officer allegedly had steamy romps with six male officers, including illicit on-duty liaisons, according to reports.

Officer Maegan Hall (female) and her fellow law officers allegedly engaged in wild sexcapades that included sending dirty pictures, taking her top off at a “Girls Gone Wild” hot tub party, and even having oral sex with two officers at the La Vergne, Tenn., police station. The steamy shenanigans — in which Hall allegedly bragged about the size of one partner’s genitals and claimed to be in an “open marriage” — not only led Hall to be canned, but led to the firings of Sgt. Lewis Powell, Officer Juan Lugo, Sgt. Ty McGowan and Detective Seneca Shields, according to a December internal investigation (click here for the report).

Two other officers who allegedly had romps with Hall — Patrick Magliocco and Larry Holladay — kept their jobs but wound up suspended, according to the report.

According to the report, one of the officers admitted to investigators that Hall had informed him about another colleague’s “huge black p….s” and that she had engaged in sexual activity with him while they were both working. Also, that one of them claimed that Hall had kissed one the officer’s own wife after learning about their “open marriage.” This, and a lot more is mentioned.

The questions that arise in my head are simple. It is a sex scandal, where very little information is mentioned about the background of the male colleagues. What is their relationship status? Are they also married? Do they have a children? Only two of them have just one sentence about the fact that one has an open relationship with his partner, and the other is married. What about the rest then?

Also, it has been reported that Officer Hall kept asking him to perform sexual acts. Couldn’t it be refused? Or at least be reported? I still have endless questions about the case and everyone involved.

Here are some titles I disagree with:
• “Policewoman had an affair with half of the guards, some of whom she satisfied while on duty”
• “Policewoman sleeps with six colleagues”
• “Tennessee cops, including married female officer, fired after repeated wild sex romps”
•”US: Married woman cop repeatedly has sex with 5 male colleagues on duty, all fired”
• “Five Tennessee cops fired for having sex on duty: Report reveals woman officer at center of investigation hosted ‘Girls Gone Wild’ hot tub party, where she took off her top and had vodka poured down her throat”

Is it because she is the main culprit according to the report?

For me, it is important that in such sensitive, or interesting, cases, all those involved are mentioned equally. And don’t unravel one completely and highlight the others little or less in depth. The report also falls short on this (about the male colleagues), in my opinion.

Finally, I did come across an article where the title is neutral to me: “Five US police officers fired for having sex at work”

What is your view on this case? Feel free to share your opinion.
